Dinner for Five 🍗🥩🍝🎂

The great and wonderful indie filmmaker Roger Corman passed away on May 9, 2024, and was known for his low budget horror films like his adaptations of the classic Edgar Allan Poe stories and some were just titles from the Poe classics used as inspiration for Corman's films.

Corman was responsible for the early recognition of Jack Nicholson who appeared in the original "Little Shop of Horrors" (1960) as a demented patient with a dental obsession. Nicholson was also cast in Corman's "The Terror" (1963) with his co-star actress wife Sandra Knight.

Rob Zombie on his Instagram remembered Roger Corman when they filmed an episode of the cable TV show by Jon Favreau called "Dinner for Five" and I did blog about it in relation to a comedian attempting to rip off the idea and he paraded on the Stern show to talk about it not crediting Favreau's series "Dinner for Five" on the 2-4-15 blog entry.

Of course Rob Zombie attempted to copy the low budget indie horror style of Roger Corman but his films were low budget gorefests instead featuring his low budget groupie wife he has to CGI to death to make her appear 20 instead of 50 when she recently portrayed a young Lily Munster in his straight to streaming movie "The Munsters" which was his only film to date for general audiences and nobody cared. Too little too late, Rob. We've seen enough of CGI Sheri to last a lifetime.

Cohen's Clearinghouse

The Real Housewives franchise producer and savior of Sirius satellite radio Andy Cohen was cleared of all charges against him claiming he was a lowlife in lawsuits from former real housewives. The claims were left unsubstantiated and Bravo TV has re-signed Cohen to their network and he will continue with the franchise and of course his late night talk show "Watch What Happens Live".

Beth Still in Reruns

Beth keeps repeating herself on her Instagram Show as one wonders what her problem is, first with being a no-show at the "Unfrosted" screening of the Jerry Seinfeld Netflix flick in New York when Howard said she was there when there is no evidence she was there and she's been posting repeat selfies from old photoshoots as shown on recent blog entries. As exclusively revealed on the May 2, 2024 Beth Fan Page, the annual big NSAL fundraiser has been moved from the fall to the spring this year and I suppose Beth is panicking over being camera ready in June instead of November.

Bezos Backed Out of Both Bargains?

As blogged about, Howard Stern stated on the air that Jeff Bezos was at his Florida home but failed to disclose the reason and Stern had the nerve to pretend this 'rumor' that no one had heard about in the first place that Bezos wanted to buy Stern's house, had to be addressed by Page Six and debunked. Now we know why Bezos evidently backed out of the deal with Howard. It was because insiders are now saying it was because Bezos wanted to bulldoze Stern's existing empty shell house that's overrun with reptiles that are breeding everywhere and purchase the empty lot next to Howard's and build his own palatial waterfront estate on both plots of land.

In an article dated 2017, the vacant lot next to Howard's Florida empty fortress was sold to the investment manager Lewis "Lew" Sanders and his wife Alice on 615 N. County Road in Palm Beach over a decade ago and no house was ever built there due to the planning commission and architect's difficulties in getting anything approved.

Howard stated on his radio show that he would take Bezos' offer to purchase his home if he added more zeroes to the price yet Stern denied his Florida house was for sale. Yeah, Stern talks out of both sides of his mouth. He overpaid for that empty flophouse and has to keep the power turned off in 95 percent of the house with Beth living in the servants' quarters where most of her feral felines are held in captivity.

Palm Beach has two areas nicknamed Billionaires Row, including the stretch of North County Road where the Sanders’ and Sterns' properties are located. The other is on the South End along South Ocean Boulevard between Trump’s Mar-a-Lago and Sloan’s Curve. Both roads are home to extravagant mansions set on large expanses of land even though Howard Stern is not a billionaire. Go figure. Yeah, well, he's an investment partner I guess one could say.

Howard and Beth Stern apparently had no objections to the Sanders’ plans to build a house next door. No letters of objection to the project were filed with the town by any residents in the immediate area, who by law must be notified about any proposed projects near their homes.

The couple paid $24.87 million for it in 2005, property records show. They then knocked down an outdated house there and earned town approval to build a mansion designed by Palm Beach architect Jeffery Smith of Smith Architectural Group.

They never broke ground, however, and the couple instead resided elsewhere during their visits to Palm Beach. But last spring (in 2017), the couple contacted Smith and asked him to design a new house for their lot, Smith said.

According to the Palm Beach Daily News:

"The new house, Smith told the board, is similar in square footage but smaller
in scale than the one previously approved by the town —
a 26,000-square-foot house with a basement. He added that the new design
has a floor plan more suited to casual living than the previous one."
