It was pretty funny to hear Howard Stern complain today on his satellite radio show about Twitter and how Elon Musk is charging a fee for the blue checkmarks to verify the owner of the Twitter account since many are fake accounts that people create from famous names and pretend they are the famous people.

Howard claimed that since he has over one million followers, that his blue checkmark would be free and he doesn't have to pay for it when he has only 1.5 million Twitter followers as of this date, while the superstar YouTuber Russell Brand has 11.2 million Twitter followers. 

As exclusively revealed years ago on this blog, Sirius had wanted Russell Brand to take the place of what they thought would be the outgoing Stern when he produced his own 60th birthday bash but Howard wouldn't leave and they've been stuck with his constant contract renewals ever since he signed the first one where he got his own dedicated studio in the Sirius building in New York.

Howard has no other dedicated studio just for himself except in New York. He had a temp space in the basement of his sinking Hamptons home and an existing temp space in Los Angeles where they just use whatever is available for guests. Howard has been moved back inside the Sirius New York studio [see BFP blog entry 4-15-2023] where he held his Bruce Springsteen interview for broadcast on HBO, however, it is not cost effective anymore to have Howard sit in the Hamptons especially since the Sterns reportedly have it listed with real estate agents hoping to unload it soon as it's been cleared out as reported by this blogger as early as February 2021 when Beth showed her empty Hamptons closet and Howard said on the air how she was moving carpets out of the upstairs rooms and cleaning out their garages and storage units.

Now Howard is stuck trying to sneak in and out of the building pretending he's too famous to show up in person when, as previously reported on this blog, about a year ago Radio Andy's Jeff Lewis stated everyone would be back inside the Sirius studios. A lot of times the Radio Andy stars will work from various locations if they are on the road, but of course with Howard, he is only booked to appear at the Miami Sirius Studios to somehow promote the opening but of course no one knows what that will accomplish for the flailing satellite radio company.

Howard wants a total information blackout at Sirius when it comes to his business routine and no one can talk about him unless it's just a brief mention like what Jeff Lewis or Andy Cohen will say but they pander to the beast because Howard wants it to appear he is the big cheese at Sirius when he's only a slice of cheese that's been left on that piece of dried out toast way too long.
