Tricks and Treats

Today is Halloween as we wonder whether the Howard Stern interview with the Inebriated Street Band frontman Bruce Springsteen was a trick or a treat.

Both Howard and Brucie Boy just wore their regular clothes and refused to play along with the holiday fun.

Bruce did a sampling of his boring music catalog as if that's getting any new subs to his Sirius channel and same with Stern who is so super desperate to have a third channel dedicated to music that he trekked into the Sirius building to try and prove to Boss Witz that he can do it! 

Do what? That he can show up in person and stay vertical for a few hours reading off giant pieces of paper with his script and gosh, none of Howard's books were there in sight like they used to be before Witz sent him home during the Covid Blitz and put the fritz on Stern's studio downsizing it to half its size. Of course Howard's co-host Robin Quivers was not allowed to trek inside the studio in person because Howard blew up her booth so we hear a disembodied voice during a clip shown on Howard's YouTube channel which is just weird.

Stern's Stale Sirius Studio Update

When Howard interviews celebrities that come into the Sirius building, they are shuttled around to different rooms so the Stern studio can stay dark most of the time to save on expenses and of course they just use a background of the Howard Stern show sign that can be moved anywhere and they just hear Howard's voice like the Great Wizard of Oz booming over a loudspeaker and they dare sit in front of him to be interviewed. 

Gone are Howard's books inside the studio that he used to always have on display next to the interview couch but Boss Witz threw all that shit in the garbage when she sent Stern home in March 2020 and told him to not come back. We see Stern came up with a gimmick to get back inside his studio but notice Robin is not back at the studio which is what Howard's wanted for years, but she hangs onto that microphone and Howard's stuck with hearing her voice until infinity.
