Nitwit Netflix Audition

Howard Stern's having a late midlife crisis in that he never envisioned that he would still be stuck doing his same old stale radio show pushing 70 years old, and thought he would've transitioned permanently to television because he always thought of himself as Johnny Carson or David Letterman.

Stern even broke a brain cell by constantly saying that his little Sirius satellite radio show app is actually television, when it's a phone or computer app that gets deleted within days of it being made available to Sirius subscribers. Plus, his own YouTube channel just features dozens of clips from his Sirius satellite radio show that no one wants to see. I mean, his guest list is staler than what's nesting on Howard's head.

It's common knowledge that Howard's been badgering the CEO of Netflix to get him on that network like David Letterman transitioned to doing some boring overly long interviews and of course Howard was one of the boring has-beens Dave interviewed. But Netflix even has a placeholder for Stern as already posted on this blog on the September 28, 2022 blog entry.

As also stated on the September 28, 2022 blog entry, Netflix is now airing some of its stale comedy shows on Sirius Channel 93, so of course Howard is stepping up his telephone terrorism to get his own show on Netflix on cable television.

So here comes Howard Stern publicizing his big interview with Bruce Springsteen to air on Howard 100 on Halloween no less, what a loser date as one wonders if Stern staff will show up in costume other than those idiot masks they normally wear while stalking the soda machines.

Howard stated on his radio show yesterday, October 26, that the Springsteen interview will be in a different space, so no one is sure if that means inside his smaller cut-in-half studio at the Sirius building or on the first floor in a larger space for the interview with a full camera crew. Especially if Howard couldn't wear down Boss Witz to agree to a Town Hall interview, Howard may want it on the first floor anyway to appear like it's an official Town Hall interview when it's not. We will have to watch what happens on that front because this blogger's alleged informant is adamant that Stern wants a Town Hall interview with the inebriated rocker. Stern can then send the tape to Netflix to prove he can do boring interviews just like David Letterman does for Netflix.

Bruce Springsteen has his own dedicated channel on Sirius and that's the only way Howard can get anyone to show up for an interview when these aged celebs make the rounds at the Sirius building. That's why Stern can't go solo with his own radio show because he'd be interviewing his wife Beth everyday, as they hold a death watch on Yoda their cat.

Of course the Savior of Sirius Andy Cohen always hosts Town Halls with a variety of celebs and of course he is on BravoTV with a real talk show, not like whatever it is that Howard does on his rarely live satellite radio show. Howard used to banter about taking the place of Barbara Walters when she did her post-Oscar interviews but obviously, that was just Howard throwing his own bullshit seeing if it sticks on any network executives.

In 2018, Sirius sponsored a night on Broadway with Bruce Springsteen when Beth and Howard Horninsky raced to get free seats and Bruce had Sirius connections for awhile airing his stale music. Springsteen bought himself a Tony award for his musical performance because he obviously couldn't win a competitive Tony. Springsteen did the first Sirius Town Hall that was in 2010 and it aired on Springsteen's channel, and later on Sirius's Town Hall Limited-Run Channel 142.

This is a big deal interview for the flailing Stern show but I doubt it will result in even one more new subscriber to Sirius or existing subscribers adding the Stern show to their subscriptions. Public reaction to this interview as publicized in the New York Post garnered only five reaction comments when I last checked, and all were negative. Wow, five comments, huh? I hope Sirius can get some pennies out of those people to sub to the Stern show to hear two wasted old farts try to remember their scripts.

So, in any event, here's the Stern show excerpts from yesterday, October 26, 2022:
