As blogged about on October 30, 2024, the Sterns are doing another cash grab pet calendar for 2025 and Beth advertised it on her Instagram show on November 2, 2024, because it is ready now for pre-order and you can purchase it from where? The charity she shills for or her own selfie foundation?
You guessed it, it's for her own foundation Beth's Furry Friends since the calendar Beth did for the North Shore Animal League (NSAL) tanked big time and the Sterns couldn't get the minimum donation price set by NSAL at 30 bucks because no one was ordering a calendar of 12 photos of Beth. So NSAL then publicized that it was 'free' with a minimum donation of 15 bucks so I doubt the Sterns saw any of that money unless it was a few pennies per calendar.
But here is the controversy. This is a quote from the October 30, 2024 Beth Fan Page blog entry - emphasis added:
"I hope Howard's staff and the celebrities he badgers with his email spamming enjoy their Christmas gift of a Beth calendar featuring photos of Beth along with their cat Cocomelon with other cats. Apparently, Beth had to drop that plagiarized name and just call the calendar 'Coco & Friends' to save Howard from the hassle of another legal battle like when they published the Yoda the cat children's books when they dodged a lawsuit bullet since they didn't use the image of the Star Wars character."
But if the Sterns could use Yoda and their other cat Grogu [both now deceased] why not use the name Cocomelon? The Sterns always use popular names so they can get Google hits for the products they are selling, and there were two Yoda the cat books yet now, Beth can't use the full name Cocomelon, but has to shorten it to Coco. Interesting.
When Beth posted the Coco & Friends calendar cover on her Instagram show, she had the cat's full name of Cocomelon printed under the title, along with a psychological typo, typing the word 'proceeds' as 'procedes'. WHY? Because the Beth Fan Page has blogged about that several times, this is a gimmick these charities and foundations use. All proceeds go to the charity and people assume it goes directly to helping animals, or whatever the charity is, when it goes to executive salaries and they basically spend it on whatever the hell they want. So Beth did her Freudian slip typo because the word 'procede' was used out of context because she knows there are no proceeds. All the money goes back into her bank account and she can claim all the money was spent recouping the cost to produce it in the first place.
This is a quote from the October 30, 2024, Beth Fan Page blog entry about 'proceeds' - emphasis added:
"Of course her hubby Howard Stern has to self-publish it like with their other calendars in prior years and he hopes to get at least 30 bucks out of the people who will fall for the gimmick that 'all proceeds' go to Beth's foundation to help Beth house more cats that she either lets loose or they escape like Callie the Calico or Buddy the Cat, or she houses them for photoshoots before dumping them back at the North Shore Animal League when in reality there are no proceeds. Proceeds are after expenses and Beth can claim all the money went back into her Birkin bag to pay for all their expenses producing the calendar in the first place."
Beth is competing with her own charity she shills for. Both calendars
are 25 bucks for 2025 yet neither gives the size of the calendar.
Apparently this blogger was correct in that Beth cannot use the name Cocomelon for commercial use without permission. Cocomelon is a popular kids' show. We see below that Beth had to truncate Cocomelon, and corrected a typo on the cover.
Cocomelon (/koΚkoΚmΙlΙn/, stylized as CoComelon) is a children's YouTube channel operated by Candle Media-owned Moonbug Entertainment. The channel specializes in 3D animation videos of traditional nursery rhymes and original children's songs.
