Met Gala Monday 👗👠

Today is the famous Met Gala Monday when the Metropolitan Museum of Art has its huge fundraiser showcasing new exhibits on fashion and iconography where the elites of the elites invite influencers, models, actors, designers, you name it and the elites have invited them while Howard and Beth Stern have always been snubbed even after Howard married Bader Beth the famous Bader catalog model. Has Anna Wintour never heard of Bader Beth?? Hahahahahahaha.

The Met Gala started in December 1948 as a midnight dinner that cost $50 to attend. The first Met Gala was the brainchild of fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert, who played a key role in launching N.Y. Fashion Week. Now, for over 20 years, helmed by Vogue's Anna Wintour, the annual Met Gala benefits the NYC museum's Costume Institute. This year's theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” with the dress code "The Garden of Time".

Each year, as reported on this famous blog, Beth Stern has her annual Met Gala Meltdown for being ignored and snubbed by Anna Wintour and Vogue magazine. Her husband Howard could never score a ticket for her and SiriusXM would not foot the bill for a table at the event.

Nobody gets in without an invitation, so no plus-ones allowed meaning Beth is out of business. Her whole red carpet career was basically as a plus-one. Even her former BFF Katie Lee [Joel] Biegel has attended the famous Met Gala sans Beth because no one would approve her attendance unless she wanted to work in the coat room.

Last year, Howard deflected from Beth's annual Met Gala meltdowns by arranging to be in Miami, Florida, for the first Monday in May 2023 where he broadcasted his radio show and Beth trekked into the studio and appeared briefly on camera. She did a few hotel selfie modeling photos and posted them on her IG. So that was the extent of her deflecting from the Met Gala last year. Prior years she just has a selfie meltdown on her IG show pretending that rolling around on the floor with feral felines is better than hogging a red carpet at the biggest event in the world.

But ever since about 2016 this blogger has documented Beth's annual Met Gala meltdown and Howard has to come up with some diversionary tactic as if they are snubbing the event instead of the other way around.

Beth Barges into Book Party After Wintour Snub

The last Saturday in April is when the party for the pre-Metropolitan Gala event is held, with the Met Gala held on the first Monday in May. The annual event is held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute and marks the grand opening of the annual fashion exhibit. It is the most coveted ticket in the world of fashion, celebrities, moguls, music, models, and high society and the high ticket prices are a part of the fundraising efforts for the museum. However, the Met Gala is invitation only, and there are no plus-ones.
