Witz talked about acquiring more podcasts where SiriusXM may not own the podcast but get ad revenue from it, and that basically the acquisition of the Conan O'Brian podcast where SiriusXM bought it from Conan, is probably the last thing they will do with celebrities but would collaborate with various personalities from the entertainment genre without necessarily purchasing the show, just be one of the bunch where it would be broadcast in addition to the other outlets like Spotify or Apple.
Yes, Howard Stern was brought up and Witz skirted away from that topic and talked shop with the interviewer about new tech and launching four new satellites and all that other stuff, and she admitted the car industry is their mainstay with getting new paid subscribers and keeping the existing ones.
Interesting how Howard Stern has been downsized ever since he started with Sirius when the man in a dress and wig who went from Martin to Martine, who gave Stern that original deal with dozens of shows on his two channels, his own news team that were all eventually downsized to one woman, Lisa G, who eventually got the boot too. So it's been a struggle for Sirius to now acquire actual companies since merging with XM, like Pandora, as well as building their podcasting platforms like Stitcher and Earwolf.
